Through Stonehenge to Windorah

Ah! Sun-flower

Ah Sun-flower! weary of time,
Who countest the steps of the Sun:
Seeking after that sweet golden clime
Where the travellers journey is done.

Where the Youth pined away with desire,
And the pale Virgin shrouded in snow:
Arise from their graves and aspire,
Where my Sun-flower wishes to go.

After a long drive via Stonehenge, a squared remote community town bordering on some known inland deserts, we arrived at Windorah Qld. We were pleasantly surprised to find one of the best campsites available from the road, and we met some nice outlandish people. Although we spent only a night, it has been worthwhile.

Windorah is a town and a locality in the Shire of Barcoo, Queensland, Australia. It is one of only three towns in the Shire of Barcoo in Central West Queensland. In the 2016 census, Windorah had a population of 115 people.
