The Closest it Gets

This Friday we've been,
invited and seen
to the party that
celebrated us all.
As one out of all,
one to be seen,
has arrived,
as we did not know,
his name was McLean.
And we are all proud
to be reaching the half
of what has been given to match.
A life, full of joy,
and the people, of thunder,
no matter the time,
oh, the wonder.
He took it apart
and recounted for two,
the zone here AEST,
and of Ireland too.
And twice as so much
it was counted by hand
which counts, insomuch,
until it does not bend.
