Hanuman Mandir
They say that the Swami residing on the ground of Hanuman Tekdi in Wardha, Maharashtra, has come on foot all the way from north India one day 25 years ago and stayed at to the Hanuman Mandir on the hill and insisted in staying here. It was only the Hanuman Mandir back then, and the hill bare of vegetation and growth, pure rock and hardly accessible. I've met with the Swami on the first morning after my arrival and found him at puja at the Hanuman Mandir. He did invite me to join but I had to politely decline for a few very private reasons, one of the reasons very obvious, that being in shoes on the ground where I should be walking barefoot. I needed to learn a lot in these 20 days of staying. He has not spoken to me since the first day, but I learned about the customs, the prayers, and obligations. When I came back on the last morning before leaving this magnificient place, the Swami came to me and asked how was my experience and if I learned something. While even the locals couldn't understand Swami's words, as he spoke only Sanskrit, we did understand eachother perfectly. I replied to him that I learned my first lesson and will be bringing it with me to refine and will return next time around to attend the ritual with him. Swami nodded. Was it satisfaction or a curse? Let's see. By the law and the circumstance, let it be.
